A Wharf, in the shape of a " T " is at Chavez Point located about 7.0 miles from Puerto Cabello and operated by Corpoven. It is not protected therefore moored roped must be in good condition for proper securing.

There is a light on each extreme of the " T " on the wharf. A group of aluminum colored chimney's (3 tall chimneys painted with red and white stripes, about 98 Ft . high . During the night they are illuminated with white flash lights), petroleum storage tanks can be seen on land at approximately 1.5 Mi . To the SSW of the extremity of the wharf.
Anchorage zone for incoming vessel is from half a mile to a mile off the Pier, keeping clear of the East side. On arrival ships may come alongside at any hour with the Pilot whom will advise whether berthing is to effected Port or Starboard side to the Platform. ships manifold must be amidships.

Both anchors must be down and ready for use on moving. Similarly the Vessel engines must be ready for immediate use. Due the fact that berth is exposed ballast is required.
