PORT HISTORY

This was an oil terminal but is now used as a fishing port, with a cold storage plant of 2,000 cu. metros. The harbour of 35 hectares is well protected from the prevailing NE to E winds, that average 19 knots, by a breakwater running SE from the shore for 1,247 m. then turning west for a further 817 m.

The Berth at the wharf is 19'.
